We have been using our Jané Crosswalk pram for almost 3 months now since our baby son Jackson was born on the 14th August 2017. This pram is suitable from birth up until approx 15kg and is fab for our needs! In this post you will see in the photo gallery real, every day images of us using the pram and its versatility. When we were looking at buying a new pram several factors were important to us, to suit our lifestyle and a growing child. We wanted something all terrain style, with hard wearing wheels, large roomy seat that laid flat for a newborn, good size hood and basket, parent & outward facing seat unit, not too heavy, folds compact and easy to use. We already had 2 compatible car seats to use also made by Jané so it just made sense really to be able to use them not only in mine and my husband’s cars,  but also with a Jané pram that is pro fix.

The Crosswalk seemed to tick all of these boxes and after doing my pram research into this particular model we decided to go for it and bought one in the Moss colour which I adore! We have been using the pram alongside a matrix light 2 car seat which performs as an excellent carrycot also. Plus a Concord Air car seat (compatible with  Jané prams).

So far we have been really impressed with how well this pram handles all terrains we’ve tested it on including sandy, stoney paths, gravel, grass, woodland and urban areas. It fits in the boot of both our cars (Mazda 6 & Vauxhall Meriva) with no problems which surprised me actually as the wheels remain upright when folding the chassis, they don’t tuck under as some prams do. They can actually be removed but we have never needed to unless they need cleaning of course. Our baby has always seemed pretty happy and comfortable in the pram from day 1 of using it and I love the simplicity of its design and have also customised the pram to make it unique to us.

The key things that I like about this pram are as follows:

  • large PU tyres that will NEVER puncture! they are very hard wearing and durable
  • Great colour choices available but the Moss was definitely our favourite colour
  • pro fix compatibility for Matrix light 2, Koos, Micro carrycot and so forth
  • Spacious reversible seat unit with Hammock recline which is great for newborns to toddler age
  • Accessories. Although I have added my own it comes with a seat liner, chest pads, changing bag, raincover, handlebar cover and bumper bar cover as standard which is fab!
  • Handbrake – so saves scuffing shoes or potentially hurting your toes with a foot brake!
  • Adjustable ergonomic shaped handlebar perfect for every height and so comfortable to use
  • independent suspension with shock absorbers plus a ‘c shape’ rear axle so no kicking whilst walking with the pram

The newer version has a zip out extended sun hood which is great and this pram comes in some amazing colours including Geyser which is is really nice for the girls out there I think.

Here are some images of our pram in use. It has been serving us really well from the all important 1st pram trip out with baby, and for many more firsts to come including …. our 1st School run together as a mummy of two children in September 2017. WOW was that a memory we shall cherish forever now as me and my eldest son Brody felt so very proud taking little baby Jackson out with us. We have used several accessories with the Crosswalk and I will now list what they all are for you as they work very well and are worth knowing about!

When we first started using the pram I wanted a nice cosy padded insert for the lay flat mode so I used a Summer Snuzzler which comes in grey or white and has a detachable piddle pad! Handy for the potty training stage to come later on. This insert can be used in prams, car seats, highchairs and so on. I have also used & ‘merely tried on’ these items listed below which fit and work well with the Crosswalk. I’ve also included some website links:

  • Britax parent console (I could not live without this!) Its been well used over the past 5 years and is great for keeping mum essentials close at hand and has insulated cup holder compartments for hot or cold drinks on the go.
